By accessing or using Lancr ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lancr is a third-party tool that integrates with Freelancer.com via its official API to help freelancers find projects, generate AI-assisted proposal drafts, and manage their bidding workflow.

Lancr is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Freelancer.com. We are an independent application that uses Freelancer.com's publicly available API.

3. Your Freelancer.com Account

You must have a valid Freelancer.com account to use Lancr. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Freelancer.com credentials
• All activity that occurs through your connected account
• Complying with Freelancer.com's Terms of Service and API usage policies
• Reviewing all proposals and bids before submission

4. User Responsibilities

When using Lancr, you agree to:

• Review before submitting: Always review AI-generated proposals before submitting bids. You are fully responsible for the content of every bid you submit.
• No spamming: Do not use the Service to mass-submit low-quality or irrelevant bids. Use daily limits responsibly.
• Accurate information: Ensure your profile, skills, and bid information are truthful and accurate.
• Comply with platform rules: Follow all Freelancer.com community guidelines and terms of service.
• Single account: Only connect your own Freelancer.com account. Do not use the Service on behalf of others without their explicit authorization.

5. AI-Generated Content

Lancr uses AI (powered by OpenAI) to generate proposal drafts. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content is a starting point and should always be reviewed and edited before submission
• We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or effectiveness of AI-generated proposals
• You are solely responsible for the final content of any bid submitted through the Service
• AI-generated proposals may occasionally contain errors or inappropriate suggestions

6. No Guarantee of Results

Lancr does not guarantee that you will win projects, receive responses, or earn income through the Service. Match scores, AI proposals, and project recommendations are tools to assist your decision-making, not guarantees of success.

7. API Usage and Rate Limits

Lancr accesses Freelancer.com's API on your behalf. We implement rate limiting and responsible API usage practices. If Freelancer.com changes their API, restricts access, or revokes our API credentials, the Service may be partially or fully unavailable.

8. Limitation of Liability

Lancr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

• Any lost revenue, lost projects, or business interruption
• Actions taken by Freelancer.com on your account (suspensions, bans, etc.)
• Errors in AI-generated content that you submit without review
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

9. Account Disconnection

You may disconnect your Freelancer.com account from Lancr at any time through the app settings. Upon disconnection, your OAuth tokens are revoked and your session is cleared.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service if we believe you are violating these terms or Freelancer.com's policies.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by updating this page.
